I’ve added this page to my website in response to a newspaper article I recently read. It concerned a young man in high school who wondered why he had to study English Literature, because what use was it to him, as his goal was to be a computer game designer. The computer game designer in our family has a graduate degree in English. The point being: even the most basic shoot-whatever-moves computer game has to have a story to be minimally interesting. There needs to be a plot and there have to be constraints that need to be overcome. I have always read voraciously. I have earned the rare privilege of having my books and short stories published, with several translated for sale in countries around the world.
This "blog"-ish page is to let all would-be writers and computer game designers know what a professional writer must keep in mind when writing a good story and writing it well.
